Rosmarie Katrin Neumann
Rosi is doing a PhD on science-policy dialogue while running a knowledge brokerage company in Germany. She has more than 10 years of interdisciplinary experience, split between research and practice. She trained originally as a landscape ecologist in Germany, Iceland and New Zealand. Since then she has worked with a wide range of stakeholders around the world, including NGOs, practitioners, policy-makers and national media. This included time working as a professional knowledge broker in Liepzig, liasing between international science-policy interfaces. She has recently co-authored a Science paper about failures in science-policy dialogue relating to agricultural policy. She mainly trains in northern Europe specialising in helping researchers work more effectively with policy makers and is currently developing new training options in advanced communication skills for working with stakeholders.
